Curious, passionate and an avid learner! These three words define me.
As a professional lecturer and trainer, I ensure that my teaching methodology instils these three traits in my students as well as has been the case when I was a student.
Based on the idea, I opened up an institute, the aim of which is to teach students the skills of the PRESENT and FUTURE.
I have been teaching the subjects of accounting (at school, college and professional level), business studies, taxation and auditing for the past 8 years at various business schools both one-to-one in Pakistan and online in more than 15 countries.
Teaching has been my hobby since I started my O-levels, although not the subjects that I teach now. My professional qualification enables me to have the required knowledge and my past employment at PwC has equipped me with the right experience to teach accounting, auditing and taxation to students of various professional qualifications. This is also evident through my teaching stats where my students have managed to get nationwide positions in Advanced Taxation and Corporate Reporting in the MENA region (June 2017 and December 2017 attempt).
Moreover, my teaching style has enabled O and A-level and university students to understand the crux of accounting and business in order for them to perform well in their examinations.
I believe no matter what level the student is at, one should be 100% sure about their concepts and understanding on the subject matter. It is better to make that sure prior to entering the test center otherwise, chances are, the examiner may invite you back for a re-attempt.
Accounting (O'level, IGCSE and A-level)
Financial and Corporate Reporting (ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, CPA- Canada and ICAP)
Financial Analysis (University Projects)
Taxation (ACCA and ICAEW)
Financial Management (ACCA and ICAEW)
Audit and Advanced Audit (ACCA and ICAEW)
Excellent taught class on IAS 19 (ACCA).
I can honestly say these sessions have been the best investment I've made since starting my ACCA studies, and an essential one at that in that they completely reframed my mentality towards studying. I'd gotten so used to my own overreliance on mark scheme answers, thinking the mark scheme was basically the be-all-and-end-all of what is or isn't an acceptable, valid answer, so much so that I would essentially get in my own way with that mentality. However, these sessions have opened my eyes to what I was doing wrong when practising written questions in particular; my tendency to fixate on something within a scenario that gives an "autopilot" answer, and missing a handful of potential marks around it (which I feel like will also be applicable to all exams going forward as it applies to comprehension and expansion in general). Of course there's inevitably been times my confidence has been up-and-down during my studies, especially given my PTSD from failing AA twice already with the second being worse than the first, but having these sessions (as well as the recordings to look back on) has done me the world of good.
I will be sure to keep your voice in my head in that exam room on Monday!
Khizar was great in answering my awkward questions. He had no issues, with changing and amending the questions we were working on to fit different scenarios to allow me get a better understanding of the topic.
Very patient and incredibly helpful tutor! Always explained everything clearly and made sure I understood each step.
Khizar was excellent in breaking down the questions and explaining each part bit by bit. He made the questions seem simple with quick techniques.
This was my last session with Khizar before my exam and I couldn't be more grateful for the support that he has provided.
I first come to Spires tutoring when I was panicking late one night because I had failed Financial Management twice before, Khizar seen my tutor request and offered a free introductory call straight away. We created a study plan and timeline which immediately made me feel better and I remember he said to me on that call that he didn't want to just be a tutor but a mentor too and he has most definitely stuck to that.
There were certain areas of the syllabus that I struggled to understand and Khizar was patient and tried different ways of explaining these things to me. He held me accountable by agreeing timelines and deadlines for the syllabus but was also understanding when some areas took longer than others.
Khizar highlighted almost straight away where he thinks my exam approach has been failing and what I need to do to rectify this, which I will be able to apply to all future exams.
Khizar is friendly, incredibly knowledgable and above all a FANTASTIC tutor. He's really helped with my confidence for this exam and certainly changed my approach/mindset about sitting exams in the future!
Khizar - there's not enough Kit Kat's in the world I could buy you to say thank you!
I sat my first ICAS FinRep mock exam and scored 27% - I needed a lot of support and I needed it urgently. I have just received the final result today and was fortunate enough to score 75% and this is in no small part down to the support and guidance of Khizar. Khizar understood very quickly the type of support I needed (question practice/technique rather than course content) and together we very efficiently managed to turn things around for me. I can't recommend him enough whether you just need some fine tuning or are a basket case like myself!
His classes are great, he breaks down questions very clearly so I can understand and gives me confidence for my exam.
Amazing once again, always helps me well with big an complicated questions and explains them so good
Khazir has been a great help when it comes to my preparation for my TX exam. He has made me feel confident coming up to my exam and assisted me very well with my weaknesses
“I have known Sir Khizar for around 4 years. He has single-handedly built my understanding around IFRS. I have found him to be an honest and dedicated professional who keeps updating his own knowledge and skills in order to help those relying on him. Furthermore, the online classes of MasterMind are energetic sessions that keep you highly engaged. Sir Khizar constantly tests the concepts of his students by focusing on past papers and marking schemes. For Sir Khizar teaching is not just a job, it is a passion. A few weeks before the exam, he becomes a big part of your life. So much so that when you enter the exam hall, his words keep coming back to you and guide you to success.”
