About Me
Married with two daughters, one of whom is studying mathematics at university.
In my spare time I enjoy learning new maths, reading, cycling, cricket and running.
I have a holiday home in Kashmir which I enjoy visiting, and travelling around the region.
Tutor Experience
I am a qualified maths teacher.
I taught for 10 years at grammar schools, 8 years at a college of further education and 16 years as a tutor (all in the UK).
I have taught students of all ability ranges: GCSE grades 4 to 9 and A-level to A*.
My lessons are always taught at a level which challenges my students, I have endless patience and encourage my tutees to ask questions to increase understanding. I can follow the school's programme of study or design a scheme of lessons that will best help the student to achieve the required outcome.
I have also been a GCSE examiner since 2026.
